Frank Jasaitis Sites

(October 2, 1870 – December 24, 1922)

Frank Jasaitis was born in Lithuania in 1870 and immigrated to the United States around 1890. Soon after that he moved to Frankin County, Ohio, probably Columbus. I found him in the city directory there in 1894 working as a tailor.

Frank’s older brother, Joseph, also lived in Columbus and made his living as a tailor. They are often found living near one another in the census records.

In 1901 Frank married Tina A. Leopoldine Petru in Franklin County. She was born in about 1876, the daughter of Carl Petru and his wife of Austria. Tina (Tenie) had a brother, Frank J. Petru, born in 1879.

Frank and Tenie Sites had two children, Anna A. Sites, born in 1902 and Charles F. Sites, born March 21, 1903. Charles died July 9, 1973 and is buried at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Columbus.

Frank Sites died December 24, 1922, and is buried in Columbus.
