Jacob Jasaits
and his wife Agota
In my efforts to identify
the parents of my gr-grandmother, Petronella
Jasaitis Uknavage, I have
consulted death certificates, hers and those of her siblings. So far I have not
determined her mother’s last name, only that her first name was Agota. As for my gr-grandmother’s
father, it was probably Jacob Jasaitis. You’ll see from the list below that even that is not
conclusive. I have ordered naturalization records for Joseph Sites in
Adam Sites (1851-1918)…both
“unknown” on death certificate
Petronella Jasaitis Uknavage (1860-1938) …father Anton* Yusaitis,
mother unknown on death certificate
Joseph Sites (1862-1945)…father Joseph* Sites, mother unknown on death certificate
John Sites (1858-1929)…both
“unknown” on death certificate
Andrew Yasaitis
(1866-1927)…father “Andrew* Yascitis”, mother unknown
on death certificate
Frank Sites (1870-1922)…father Jacob Sites, mother Agatha
(last name unknown) on death certificate
Frank Sites
(1870-1922)…father Jacob Sites, mother (unknown) marriage certificate 1901
William Sites (1872-1944)…father Jacob Sites, mother Agatha
(last name unknown) on death certificate
Frances Jasaitis
Gillis (1880-1966)…father Jacob Sites, mother unknown on death certificate
Frances Jasaitis
Gillis (1881-1966)…father Jacob Sites, mother Agatha (last name unknown) on Social Security card 1966
* I believe the people
providing the information for the death certificates made a mistake or
misunderstood the question. Also, it is interesting that on almost all of the
death certificates the name Sites is used and not Jasaitis.
